Nicholas “Teddy” Cataldo, age 91 of Bridgewater, died Monday August 27, 2012 at the Morton Hospital after a period of failing health. He was the loving husband of Louise F. (Gabriele) Cataldo for 66 years. Mr. Cataldo was born and raised in Brockton a son of the late Carlos and Antonetta (Pagliarini) Cataldo and had lived in Bridgewater for almost 30 years.
During WWII Mr. Cataldo served in the US Army as an MP stationed in the Pacific Theatre. He retired as a superintendent with Gilbane Construction Company, a job he held for 35 years and which took him around the country and world. Mr. Cataldo enjoyed watching all sports, boating, working around his yard and trips to Foxwoods. He had been a member of the Sons of Italy and the Ward 2 Club. He will be remembered as a sociable and outgoing man who was devoted to his wife who was the light of his life.
Mr. Cartaldo is survived by many nieces and nephews and was the brother of the late Dominic, Orlando and Renaldo Cataldo.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123) Brockton Thursday 5-8 pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home on Friday at 8 am for a Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9 am. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery.
